Welcome to my fundraising page. I’m part of a team at UCL raising money for Hope for Children, and as you can see, I’ve set myself an ambitious fundraising target for the year! I will be hiking up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in the summer of 2019.
Before medical school, I was an avid athlete (swimmer) training more than 20 hours a week and devoting my time to improving. Now, with the busy schedule of a 1st year medical student, I have transitioned to rowing which nevertheless requires both commitment and hard work. My competitive nature urges me to push myself beyond my limits, both physically and mentally. I have always wanted to climb a mountain at high altitude and when I came across this opportunity I jumped straight on the wagon and seized it. Not only am I setting a physical challenge for myself, but I will also be supporting the charity Hope for Children.
Hope for Children aim to provide education to all children worldwide and by fundraising for this trek I will be contributing to them reaching their target. But most of all I want to make people aware of this organisation and the importance of providing education to everyone around the world.
Any donation, big or small, would be really appreciated. Thank you for your support!
